FIMA celebrated Pikkujoulu (Christmas) in a very traditional Finnish way with all its members.
Varnam 2017 Varnam 2017 had 31 participants in 3 age categories. The Chief Guest of the event was Honorable Ambassador of Indian in Finland Mrs Vani Rao. The judge of the event was Ms. Rafaella Seppala, who is one of the most well known art collectors in Scandinavia. More about our judge here.
FIMA Onam 2017 On September the 3rd, Finland Malayalee Association celebrated Onam. The event was attended by close to 110 members and guests of FIMA. Event were attended by Malayalees from Kuopio, Vaasa, Hameenlinna and the capital region. Newly appointed Ambassador of India in Finland , Ms Vani Rao was the chief guest at the event. The event featured mavelis visit to Finland, Thiruvathira, onam song by FIMA kids, various Onakalikal and the yearly Vadamvali competition featuring the three different teams. HI all , After a gap of a year, FIMA proudly presents the Onam Celebration for the year 2016. Onam is the one true festival that Malayalees all over the world celebrate irrespective of their cast and religious background. The Onam celebrations of year 2014 was held at Logan Hall in Espoo and was attended by more than 120 people and featured Onam Sadya, thiruvathira, many games for children and tug of war. This year FIMA is celebrating Onam on the 17th of September 2016. Cultural programs including thiruvathira, onam games, tug of war and a grand Onam sadya has been planned. Please join us for the
