FIMA’s Varnam 2018 – Tampere

FIMA presents “Varnam” a painting competition for children between the age of 6 and 15. An event where children get a chance to put down their imagination on paper and give it colors with the medium they are comfortable with. Attractive prizes, trophies and certificates await them all.

A3 160gsm (or above) papers will be provided to all and they will have an hour and a half to finish off their art work(12:30 to 14:00 PM). The competition will be theme based with different age groups having different themes. Themes will be announced a week before the competition to give ample time for kids to decide and put together their best art work.
Only paper will be provided. Mediums restricted to:
Color Pencils, sketch pens, color pastels, acrylic and water color
The event will be conducted on the 1st of December at the Hervannan vapaa-aikakeskus

Registration deadline: December 1st
The age groups are:
Group 1: 5 to 7 years – (born in 2011 to 2013)
Group 2: 8 to 11 years – (born in 2007 to 2010)
Group 3: 12 to 15 years – (born in 2003 to 2006)
We will need some sort of ID at the venue to prove the date of birth
Note: The artworks will be collected by FIMA , who would take efforts to showcase the artwork by children at different events and occasions, always having the names of the artist tagged to the painting for maximum exposure.
Varnam : Means color in Malayalam. Derived from the Sanskrit work Varna. The base of all beautiful paintings and artwork. From around India, this word translates to rang, niram etc
